The crowd has gathered from the Staples Center to the Otherside metaverse. All are cheering up the Heroez esport team, going for the title of League of Legends World Championship. An army of thousands unique avatars have reunited in Heroez’ metaverse HQ. They’re almost as noisy as the IRL massive fan zones, where battalions of people are proudly wearing the colors of their favorite team.
The Heroez esport team is a UFO: it’s governed by its community through a DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization). The 11,111 Heroez NFT holders all are members of the same club, with governance rights to decide the future of the organization. It now has over a million fans from all over the world and some of the most talented players globally.
How on Earth could they achieve such a miracle so quickly? By unleashing the power of web3, surfing on a massive fan engagement strategy built upon NFTs collections over the years. Since day one, the community has been at the center of their project, as witnessed by the impressive number of esport sponsors and brands in their claws.
